Racing has been in Brett Gray’s blood from a very early age. A true people’s person, Brett values his owners and takes pride in building strong, lasting relationships.
Based on a 70-acre property between the Winton and Invercargill racecourses, Brett runs a small, family-oriented operation with big results. The stable’s success is driven by Brett’s passion for the sport, supported by his right-hand man Junior Dan Anderson, and a dedicated team who work tirelessly behind the scenes. With around 30 horses in work, Brett has achieved consistent success in the competitive Southland racing scene, including premiership titles. Results are also extended to successfully competing at key premiership events across New Zealand.
Dedicated to the sport’s growth, Brett serves on several industry committees and is passionate about shaping the future of Harness Racing New Zealand. His hands-on approach, attention to detail, and care for horse welfare ensure every horse has the best chance to reach its potential—making it about more than just racing; it’s about the journey.
