Own the Thrill.co.nz trot a highlight of the Banks Peninsula meeting.

Sunday’s OwnTheThrill.co.nz Trot at Motukarara Raceway on 23 November was a standout event at the Banks Peninsula meeting, drawing a competitive field of 3-year-olds and older trotters rated R44–R49. The 2,170 metre contest unfolded under overcast skies, with a good grass track condition.

In the end, Rachmaninov (number 12) the iron horse of the field had his 13th win at his 292nd start!

Driven by Robbie Close he surged to victory, clocking a time of 2:47.60.  Nazareth (number 4), piloted by Carter Dalgety, took second place, while Miles Away (number 5), driven by Sam Thornley, came in third.

The win capped off a thrilling mid-afternoon for harness racing fans.
